You know, I've started it a half dozen times in my life, but never finished it. It's been ten years, I should give it another go.

In retrospect I wonder why I liked the book so much. There's long stretches where it gets all scientific, which are completed outdated and wrong, and equally long stretches (years, really) where they sail around the oceans without anything happening. But I got through the whole thing twice and I know I loved it both times.
