Matching Tattoos

Compare and contrast our redhead here to this blonde I posted before. Different women (I looked very closely to make sure), same basic tattoos. So riddle me this - did they know each other? Same gang? Or were cobras, butterflies, and roosters some sort of fad?

Bros

I won't lie, I know a couple dozen dudes who look just like these guys except without the excuse of being actual sailors. What is it about being at sea that leads to cultivating interesting facial hair?

I love the double image here, the matched posture.

Colorful

Well now. I feel like having secret ink in an era like that would give you a sort of sly joy all the time.

Touching

If I have a favorite pop-culture referencing visual artist, it may be this one. I love that they included Buster.

Skateopia

I remember first reading about this place in the pages of Big brother Skateboard Magazine more than 10 years ago. It's a big skateboarder/artist/punk/bluegrass colony out in the boondocks. Lots of naked skating and blowing shit up for the fun of it. Looks like a hell of a time, but I sort of feel like everyone there is going to suddenly grow donkey ears and start braying.

inky

I looked at this one for a while, enjoying all the little details in this tiny tattoo shop, before I realized that the gent in the back was expressing his opinion on being photographed.

On a Personal Note

I'm adding this one just for anyone who is curious but doesn't follow my mama's blog. That's me, the big fellow in the blue shirt, singing along with gusto, and a few of my nearest and dearest. So let it not be said that I won't put my picture up for comment as well. And speaking of comments, here we are at the end of another year, a year of odd images and old photos. If you follow this blog quietly, please at least say hi now. And, if you think about it, which of this year's pictures were your favorite?

Thanks for coming around, y'all.

Bite my ass.

This photo just makes me laugh and laugh. If that's a real tattoo on her leg, it's nice and bright.
