People out here (Southern California) love to do that. They bring a truckload down from the mountains and play with it until it melts and soaks into the ground as if it were never there at all.
I was thinking that either (a) The snowman was much, much bigger before the melt, or (b) That little boy used every snowflake in the area to make that poor creature.
