I was looking for a photo of a sailor with liberty cuffs on his uniform to show my sister when I found this one. It's not the best one out there of the cuffs themselves, but I love the lady who like what she sees.
(By the way, the gent in the middle back is sporting the decoration in question.)

I had no idea what liberty cuffs were until you mentioned them in a comment from a previous post.
That led to about an hour of interesting internet time for me. Very cool.
BE: and that right there is why I am happy to live in the internet age.
In the Navy! (Da-da-da-da-DA!)
Okay, now I have that stuck in my head, thankyouverymuch.
I would sew Liberty Cuffs in your hoodie. Whatever you want. I love the boys in blue, and I love you too. Actually, this reminds me of the time Julya and I took the train to Chicago and followed some sailors around taking surreptitious pictures of them. Oh My. Sailors. We were sixteen. They, I'm sure, were not. Thanks, by the way, for clarifying things.
I remember that story. I sort of love that story.
