I do try to make sure the links are helpful. That's a really fascinating site, actually.
It looks like the dragon and the girl were drawn by two different people. It's like they sat down and said, "Alright, can anyone draw anything cool?" and two dudes raised their hands.
I'm pretty willing to bet that's exactly what happened.
