The Hit Makers

I dig the design. I can imagine a Pye Records peon sitting down with an xacto knife and a handful of publicity shots to cut out all the little heads.

You know what's sad? I could sing most of these songs. Oh yeah.

Heck, so can I. That album's got some great songs on it.

Wasn't Pye a fairly major English label?

I want this album. We need to have a soul review dance party.

I'm down with that. Dress up soul party?

Oh my god can you please have this party while I'm in town?
I want to own this record. I'm pretty sure the Shangri-Las are one of my favorite bands.

How long are you here? You make the mix cds, I will get May to help me throw the party.

Oh hell yeah, I've been collecting a bunch of killer northern soul. Not that it's very difficult to download music. But yanno.

I might be getting in town Wednesday or Thursday, depending on whether AJ is coming with me or not. Then I'm leaving Monday. I propose a Saturday Soul Shindig. Complete with talcum powdered linoleum- or not, because it's kind of lame.

I'm down, we just have to find a place with linoleum. Hmm.
