Rosie Wasn't Alone

I think it's the fingernail polish that makes me love this woman most.

"Operating a hand drill at Vultee-Nashville, woman is working on a "Vengeance" dive bomber, Tennessee"
1943, photographer Alfred T. Palmer
from Library of Congress on flickr: they have a whole set of these WW II-era color photos that are amazing.

Isn't that an amazing photo?

My grandma was one of those women, but in Long Beach, CA.

Very cool! Do you have any photos of her?

You know, I have never seen a picture of her in that setting, I'll have to ask. I have a picture of her in front of the harbor during that time, but not at work.

Steph: if you find one, it would be awesome to see it.

Leila: Right? Did you look at those other color WW II photos?
