Am I a Heinlein fan? Am I not a Heinlein fan? You know, I really couldn't say. What I like by him, I love by him. And I love that he invited a few fans to come hang out and stay the night in his fallout shelter in the 60s.

Of course Heinlein had a fallout shelter! Man, that would be a fun photo project- famous people's bomb shelters. Coffee table book. Do you think Frank Lloyd Wright had one? Forget Falling Waters, let's talk Falling Nukes.

I've always wanted a fallout shelter of my very own. A real retro 60's fallout shelter complete with a black & white TV, HAM radio and tinned meats. And it would be mine...ALL MINE!!!
As for Heinlein, I just checked and I'm shocked to find out that I've only read two of his novels (Stranger in a Strange Land and Job: A Comedy of Justice) and a small handful of his short stories. I could have sworn I had read more. Hmm.

Oh crap, not only do I want that coffee table book, but I want that cross-stitch he has: "God Bless our Fallout Shelter". So good.
I was wondering if Mrs. Heinlein did that cross stitch. It's pretty cool. Adds just that needed homey touch.
