I can't believe Jr.'s bowtie isn't all popped out. That is weird and they sure didn't sell that comic at the drugstore where I got my Archie's and Little Lulu's.

Pre-comic code for sure. That's the rules set up in '54 to try and keep gore and sex out of comics (and the reason Mad Magazine was a magazine and not a comic).
