not so artful dodger


I couldn't make up anything better than the actual backstory: 
George Davey was sentenced to one month's hard labour in Wandsworth Prison in 1872 for stealing two rabbits. He was ten years old.

Either hungry or already a very hardened criminal. Poor baby. I hope they fed him in prison.

I dunno what the fed you in prison in the late 1800s, but I suspect it wasn't very good.

Can't condone stealing rabbits, though ;) Were they dead or live ones? Does history record?
