A friend and I saw a sunfish on tv the other day. She didn't know what the weird looking thing was, so I pulled up a few pictures of them in the wild - like a head with fins. This was one of them.
Mama: a sunfish has got to be the least fish-looking fish I ever saw. It's weirder than a flounder, and that is saying something. Also, they get up to 3000+ pounds. Can you imagine that swimming toward you?
Jess: I did notice him. In fact, he was the detail that pushed me to post up this particular image, just for that contrast.

The sea is full of so many creatures which we could only describe as alien and isn't that just the darndest thing?
Wow, I've never heard of a sunfish before. That thing is crazy and so alien, like Mama said.
On another note, did you notice the little man in the picture? Big fish, little man.

Jesus, it's huge!
That's what she said.
I... I just... I don't know... I can't...
I will never go swimming at Santa Catalina.
3000 pounds of head!
Those are some brave or foolish kids. I would not get under that thing. I don't trust that rope.
Agreed. That sucker is just too damn big.
